BSNL to pay Rs 30,000 after wrongly charging man Rs 65,000 for flight data
A consumer commission directed BSNL to revise a customer's mobile bill. The company wrongly charged for international roaming data while the customer was flying. Flight records confirmed the customer was airborne during the disputed data usage period. BSNL also failed to adjust a security deposit as required by policy. The commission awarded compensation for mental agony and litigation costs.
